Outstanding academics.  Engaged thinkers.  State-of-the-art campus and teaching tools.  Community.  Partnership with Israel.  Successful alumni.  Value-driven education.  Jewish continuity.

Kadima, like all independent schools, relies on fundraising income in addition to tuition to provide each student’s education and to fulfill our mission. Funds raised through our Annual Campaign and Gala event support general operations of the school and help maintain the affordability of Jewish day school education. Since Kadima’s founding over 40 years ago, charitable contributions have made possible many aspects of the school, from its land and buildings, to its academic and co-curricular programs, to faculty enrichment and more.

A robust financial partnership between our school’s parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters make possible a healthy, vibrant, growing school.

Thank you for considering Kadima Day School to be a worthwhile recipient of your charitable gift.

ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

The Annual Campaign is the cornerstone of supporting Kadima Day School. Donations to our Annual Campaign enhance our campus, enable academic excellence, provide tuition assistance, and allow us to offer competitive compensation packages to attract the most talented faculty. Whether your Annual gift is $18 or $1,000,000 or somewhere in between, every member of our community is expected to make an investment in the lives of our students and faculty. While leadership gifts are crucial to Kadima’s financial stability, gifts of every size make a difference. Our goal is 100% community participation.

The only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

Donor and Giving Societies

Kadima’s exclusive Giving Society program promotes our school’s emphasis on tzedakah by recognizing our most generous supporters with special benefits. All unrestricted gifts, and qualifying restricted and matching gifts, made to the school in an academic year (Sept. 1-Aug. 31) entitle a donor to full membership. Please join us!

Keter Kadima – annual gifts of $10,000 or more

Beit Zahav – annual gifts of $5,000-$9,999

Lamed Vav Society – annual gifts of $1,800-$4,999

Dor L’Dor Society – annual gifts of $500-$1,799

Giving Society benefits vary annually; please contact the Development Office at (818) 346-0849 x 363 or at development@kadimadayschool.org for more details.

MAJOR GIFTS

Kadima Day School has a number of naming possibilities for supporters who would like to honor the school with a gift of $25,000 or more, payable at one time or over a number of years. Head of School Bill Cohen and a member of the Board of Trustees would be happy to discuss capital projects or special recognition opportunities that best match your area of interest. Our development staff can arrange appointments to explore the options and help you maximize the impact of your generous gift.

ANNUAL GALA

Our tradition of an annual community-building and fundraising event is cherished at Kadima. We are eager to showcase our outstanding school for the entire community, and we are proud to pay tribute to our annual honorees for their advocacy on behalf of Kadima, Jewish education and the Jewish people.

The 2012 Gala is currently in the planning stages; please check back for more details soon.

PTO FUNDRAISERS

The Kadima PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) directly supports classroom learning, facility improvements and faculty appreciation. PTO annual dues and fundraisers — such as a Magazine Drive, Book Fairs, Jump-a-thon and others — allow PTO to provide Teacher Appreciation gifts, contribute to special school activities such as Spring Fling, and purchase specific upgrades in the classrooms. For example, proceeds from the 2010-11 Magazine Drive were used to provide Document Cameras and Media Projectors in the Elementary classrooms.

PTO manages its own funds, which are not part of the school’s general operating budget. PTO fundraisers replenish those funds annually and allow PTO to be an active patron and participant in the daily life of Kadima students and faculty.

Our Development staff is pleased to assist you in any way to help match your wishes with the school’s needs. We can discuss effective estate planning if you would like to help the school plan for the future, and we also encourage corporate matching gifts and are ready to provide necessary information.
