Giving to Kadima Day School

Outstanding academics. Engaged thinkers. State-of-the-art campus and teaching tools. Community. Partnership with Israel. Successful alumni. Value-driven education. Jewish continuity. Giving opportunities_girl_1 Kadima, like all independent schools, relies on fundraising income in addition to tuition to provide each student’s education and to fulfill our mission. Funds raised through our Annual Campaign and Spring Gala event support the general operations of the school and help maintain the affordability of Jewish day school education. Since Kadima’s founding in 1970, charitable contributions have made possible many aspects of the school, from its land and buildings, to its academic and co-curricular programs, to faculty enrichment and more. A robust financial partnership between our school’s parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters make possible a healthy, vibrant, and growing school. Thank you for considering Kadima Day School to be a worthwhile recipient of your charitable gift.

Annual Campaign

Giving opportunities_2boys_2The Annual Campaign is the cornerstone of supporting Kadima Day School. Donations to our Annual Campaign enhance our campus, enable academic excellence, provide tuition assistance, and allow us to offer competitive compensation packages to attract the most talented faculty. Whether your campaign gift is $18 or $1,000,000 or somewhere in between, every member of our community is expected to make an investment in the lives of our students and faculty. While leadership gifts are crucial to Kadima’s financial stability, gifts of every size make a difference. Our goal is 100% community participation. The only gift that is too small is no gift at all.

Major Gifts & Estate Planning

Kadima Day School has a number of naming possibilities for supporters who would like to honor the school with a gift of $25,000 or more, payable at one time or over a number of years. Head of School Greg Kovacs and a member of the Board of Trustees would be happy to discuss capital projects or special recognition opportunities that best match your area of interest.   Contact us at development@kadimadayschool.org or (818)346-0849 x331. Our Development team is also pleased to assist you in any way to help match your estate planning with the school’s needs. We can discuss endowment and estate planning so you can help the school plan for our future. We encourage corporate matching gifts and are ready to provide necessary information.

Spring Gala

Our tradition of an annual community-building and fundraising event is cherished at Kadima. We are eager to showcase our outstanding school for the entire community, and we are proud to pay tribute to our annual honorees for their advocacy on behalf of Kadima, Jewish education and the Jewish people.

PTO Fundraisers

Giving opportunities_boy_3The Kadima PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) directly supports classroom learning, facility improvements, and faculty appreciation. PTO annual dues and fundraisers — such as a Magazine Drive, Book Fairs, Jump-a-thon and others — allow PTO to provide Teacher Appreciation gifts, contribute to special school activities such as Spring Fling, and purchase specific upgrades in the classrooms. For example, proceeds have been used to provide Document Cameras and Media Projectors in the Elementary classrooms, and to purchase individual iPads for each of our Middle School students. PTO manages its own funds, which are not part of the school’s general operating budget. PTO fundraisers replenish those funds annually and allow PTO members to be active patrons and participants in the daily lives of Kadima students and faculty.
