You are here: Home » Tuition Assistance Applications for 2012-2013

Thank you for choosing Kadima!  We make a sincere effort to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to attend our phenomenal school.  The key factors in determining tuition assistance awards are:  A family’s income and ability to pay, the amount paid by other families in similar circumstances, and the total amount of tuition assistance grant funds available.

This year, we are utilizing an on-line service called “FAST” to process Tuition Assistance Applications.  The FAST on-line system is designed to be very responsive to our families. It is flexible in terms of the information it can accommodate, thus allowing families to represent their circumstances more accurately.  FAST provides the Kadima Day School Tuition Assistance Committee with an analysis service which ensures that our process for establishing financial need adheres to nationally accepted standards of best practice.  All information from FAST is kept strictly confidential, as is all information pertaining to each family’s tuition assistance request.

FAST does not decide if tuition assistance will be allocated, nor the grant amount given; rather FAST provides an analysis service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition.  Results are reviewed, and decisions are made, by the Kadima Tuition Assistance Committee, which is appointed by the Kadima Board of Trustees.

Here are the steps which are necessary to apply for Tuition Assistance for 2012-2013.

Step 1:

Apply on-line through the FAST on-line application system.  The application process is self-guided. You can navigate in and out of the program, allowing you to partially complete an application and go back to it at another time.  Online e-mail and a 24/7 helpline is available.  The charge for the application process is $36 per family, to be paid by credit card at the end of the FAST session.  If you do not have a credit card, please contact Arnold Rudnick in the Finance Office for Assistance, his contact information is listed below.

The FAST toll-free 24/7 help line number is 877-326-FAST (3278).

If you are a new Kadima family, please be sure to complete the new student application paperwork with the admissions office.  For more information, please contact Michelle Starkman, Director of Admissions, at (818)346-0849 x125.  The Tuition Assistance Committee will not review any new family Tuition Assistance application until all application paperwork is completed.

Step 2:

a)  After completing the on-line application, sign the “Authorization to Release Information Form” and “Form 4506T” and mail both of them  to FAST at the address below.  Click here to download the “Authorization to Release Information Form” and the Form 4506T.

b)  After completing the on-line application, mail your 2010 Personal and Business Tax Returns for both State and Federal taxes to:

ISM, Attn: FAST Processing, 1316 N. Union Street, Wilmington, DE 19806

For your convenience, pre-addressed FAST envelopes are available at the Kadima Main Office, front desk.  You can include the “Authorization to Release Information Form”, along with the tax returns, in the same envelope.

Please be sure to write “Kadima” on the envelope to ensure timely processing of your tax returns and credit release form

Please note that the on-line submission deadline for returning families is February 1, 2012, and your tax return is due within 10 days of the on-line application process.  Late applications will receive less funding than applications which are filed in a timely manner.

If you have already applied for Tuition Assistance through the FAST system for another private school or child in your family, you do not need to complete this process.  Simply contact Arnold Rudnick or FAST 24/7 Customer Service (877-326-FAST (3278)) for instructions on how to share your application with Kadima.
