Kadima Day School Announces Evenhaim Family Education Grants for Middle Income Families

Kadima Day School announced today that it has received a $1.2 million gift from Shawn and Dorit Evenhaim, earmarked for a new multi-year education grant for middle-income families. This new grant is available to Elementary (Grades K-5) and Middle School (Grades 6-8) families, who are not currently attending Jewish Day School.  Families with total gross income up to $150,000 (for one child), and up to $200,000 (for more than one child) will qualify.  The grant will result in tuition of $10,000 per student  in a student’s first year.  The grant funding will continue for as long as a student remains in their division at Kadima, with only $500 increases each year.

“We know that many families want the excellent academics, high teacher-student ratio, values-based curriculum, and dynamic community that Kadima has to offer, but the cost has deterred them from applying,” said Bill Cohen, Kadima’s Head of School. “This amazing gift and outstanding vision of the Evenhaim’s will allow many families the dream opportunity to have the entire package at an affordable cost.” In addition, Kadima’s annual Tuition Assistance program is not impacted by this new grant opportunity and will remain in full effect.

Now in its 43rd year, Kadima Day School consists of three divisions: an Early Childhood Education Center, an Elementary School and a Middle School, and serves 265 students.
