Kadima Welcomes Our New Faculty Members!

We are very excited to be welcoming the following new faculty members

Dikla Kadosh, Director of Admissions

Mrs. Kadosh has dedicated herself professionally to the Los Angeles Jewish community for the past 12 years, working as a journalist and editor at The Jewish Journal and as an executive at the Israeli American Council (IAC). She has a B.A. in Creative Writing and a B.A. in Italian from USC, as well as an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University. She was born in Israel and raised in Los Angeles, a classic hybrid Israeli-American who feels equally at home in both cultures. Mrs. Kadosh loves fiction novels, yoga, Israeli dancing, and learning anything new and challenging. She enjoys a full and active life with her husband, two boys and baby girl. And she is bursting with joy at the opportunity to invigorate Kadima, and be an involved parent of two Kadima students as well.

Missy Parmelee, Math & Science Specialist

Mrs. Parmelee has been teaching for 18 years, building strong relationships with students, challenging them to constantly improve, and implementing innovative teaching strategies. She loves to spend time at home with her family and her dogs and in her spare time, she likes to read and cook.

Hila Robas, Hebrew Teacher

Ms. Robas was born in Israel, graduated the Open University of Israel with a B.A. in Psychology and completed 16 Early Childhood Education units at Santa Monica College. Ms. Robas focuses on all aspects of child development and has provided creative experiential classes to various schools in Los Angeles. She creates hands-on, custom-made games and activities for children on subjects such as Hebrew, Jewish holidays, Israel, cooking and Torah. Ms. Robas is excited to be bringing her love and joy of learning to Kadima.

Kathy Schiefer, Language Arts Teacher

Mrs. Schiefer is from Silver Spring, Maryland. She comes from a family of educators: her oldest brother, aunt and grandmother all taught school. She has lived in the D.C. area, the Midwest, and until last year, in Philadelphia, PA. She and her husband own a props rental business in North Hollywood, and live in Van Nuys. They have five children and seven grandchildren, all under the age of seven. Mrs. Schiefer has an M.Ed. in English Literature, Secondary, and a Bachelor's degree in English Literature with a writing emphasis. She loves spending time with her family, and is proud of the adults her children have become.

Jaime Welch, 2nd Grade Teacher

Mrs. Welch is thrilled to be joining the Kadima community! She received her M.A. in Literacy & Language Arts from Loyola Marymount University and has recently been teaching in the Conejo Valley region. Mrs. Welch can't wait to continue sharing her enthusiasm for reading and math with the second grade class. When not teaching, she loves spending time with her wonderful husband, their two-year-old daughter, family, and friends. She also enjoys being outdoors, listening to country music, and cheering on the LA Galaxy. Mrs. Welch can't wait for the first day of school!

Please greet them with a warm Kadima Bruchim Habaim and help them feel part of our family!
